Hi, I'm Stan, the creator of the goby language, which is a new object oriented language with Ruby-like syntax and written in Go.

I created this project because Go's concurrency support makes it a very good choice for writing api servers or microservices. However, as a Ruby developer I also think that Ruby's syntax and OO design can let people develop applications more efficiently. So I decided to combine Go and Ruby's strength together to create a new language that aims at developing microservices.

The reason I start this campaign is because I want to do this in full-time which means I need to quit my job. Currently I can only invest 15~20 hours per week on this project, including coding and project management. But if I can do it in full-time I can spent 50~60 hours on it every week, which will speedup the progress significantly.
