Deep Routes is a culinary and agricultural education project centered around uplifting and centering food stories of African and Indigenous diasporas, and we're fundraising to bring our next curriculum edition to life focused on one of the most influential self-liberated, Black republics in history: Haiti/Ayiti

This curriculum (An Manje: A Celebration of Culinary Foodways) will include written and video essays, interviews, artwork, and photography highlighting the country's culinary histories and future visions by Haitian and Haitian-American authors, chefs/cooks, creatives, and more. Alongside the materials will also be lesson plans for teaching the materials in different settings.
And we need your help to get there.

We're fundraising to cover the cost of paying Haitian, Haitian-American, and Black:

- Contributing authors and collaborators

- Illustrators

- Translators (to translate the written and visual materials into Haitian Creole and Spanish)

- Photographers and videographers.

We are a small grassroots project and deeply appreciate your consideration and support in bringing this curriculum to life; and invite you to learn more about the Deep Routes projectget to know the An Manje contributors, and how you can get involved with the Haiti/Ayiti curriculum.

Sincerely,
Maya & Margo from Deep Routes
