Ongoing armed conflict since 2015 has ravaged the country and led to the displacement of 18 million people. This in turn has exacerbated widespread famine and starvation, with insufficient resources to reach and help those in dire need. More than half of the country’s population has been severely impacted by the ongoing conflict and require immediate assistance. Not only is there severe food shortages, but lack of access to clean water and medical assistance has been detrimental to the livelihoods of men women and children. The aforementioned factors have all contributed to what essentially is a humanitarian disaster in Yemen, and is a problem that requires the aid and assistance of people working together to alleviate these conditions.
