Heba, Fatima and Aseel are three young girls who fled Syria and Sudan during the wars and are living as refugees in Amman, the capital city of Jordan. Despite their extremely challenging circumstances, years of missed education and lack of resources they have been accepted into and awarded full scholarships to prestigious UK based summer boarding schools but we need your help to raise $7,100 to get them there.
The three girls attend overcrowded classes at government schools on a shift system the hours for which were further reduced during and after the Corona virus pandemic. However, through their participation at Squash Dreamers the girls were able to continue to work hard to realise their dreams through studying high-level English, training in squash and receiving 1-1 educational and mindfulness support. Through their unwavering determination they studied, applied for and were selected from a large pool of applicants to receive a full scholarship to SBC courses in Rochester and Oxford opportunities that will be truly life-changing.
To get them there with chaperone we are working hard to secure passports, visas and flights which with all costs included will amount to $7,100.
Any amount that you can give will take the girls one step closer to achieving their dreams, showing them that their hard work really does pay off and getting them to the UK to study at their hard-earned scholarship programmes.
Please share our campaign, follow our progress and encourage your communities to get involved and if you have connections to any major airlines that you feel may be able to support us with free return tickets Amman-London please do also get in touch.
