HCM Patient Foundation Birthday Fundraising

On September 26^th 2026 the HCM Patient Foundation is turning three years old!

Time flies but we are not exactly waiting either. For these three years we have:

• Created a website with comprehensive information in 11 European languages
• Published 13 episodes of the HCM Pills webcast
• Launched Project AURA to provide free psychological support to HCM patients
• Completed a major survey with the participation of more than 400 patient and caretaker responders from 18 countries. The survey led to the publication of an article in a scientific journal and to a much deeper understanding of the problems and needs of European HCM patients.
• Organized two meetings of European HCM patients with the participation of patients from more than 20 countries.
• Joined two scientific consortia for improved diagnostics and treatment of HCM
• Deployed an online knowledge test for HCM patients in five languages.
• Created and printed a 24-page brochure for new HCM patients
• Lobbied for better care and access to medication of HCM patients in Europe.
• Supported in personal talks many HCM patients 
• Worked on joint projects with local patients organization

Of course, we could have done none of this without the support of the patient community and our sponsors, for which we are deeply grateful!

We hope that you would continue that support by helping us raise 3333 Euro to celebrate our third birthday! The funds will go to the financing of Project AURA and will provide many hours of free psychological support. 

Our birthday fundraising campaign will run from our third birthday, September 26th, to October 11th 2026.
