We picked up the last of last year's hay on June 1, 2023 (pictured below), so it's time to raise money for the HAY FUND again!

Hay is a huge part of our yearly expenses. It's how we feed our sheep and goats as their primary food source.

Last year, our hay fund covered six months' worth of hay. This time, we're raising money for a year's worth of hay as we need to cover their food needs now, throughout the winter, and straight into when hay comes off the field again in 2024!

All e-transfer amounts will be included in the Hay Fund goal meter here on this page so everyone can track the Hay Fund right along with us!

We get our hay from a trusted supplier and our deposit of $1356 has already come due to secure the amount we'll need over the next 12 months.

If we raise enough to pay + pick up all the hay at once (aka a year's worth), we don't have to stress about running out of hay during the months when hay isn't coming off the fields. We'd save on the hay costs as it's slightly cheaper to pick up the hay as it's coming off the field rather than after it's been stored.

This year we budgeted for the 8 sheep and 2 goats that call Lily's Place home, plus 2 additional animals in need.
