Growing up food-insecure, I witnessed firsthand how hunger impacts a person’s well-being. There were days I worried whether there would be food on the table, wondered if my mother, who worked two jobs to feed her three children, was eating, and questioned if this was the life we would always live.

My lived experience has guided both my personal and professional journey. It has become my mission to create multi-generational change so that no one experiences hunger the way I did. I am committed to continuing the work to end hunger in our communities by advocating, amplifying, and fundraising for lasting solutions.

But this work cannot be done alone. Your support is vital to sustaining the progress of organizations dedicated to feeding, nourishing, and uplifting our communities. Together, we can grow change one meal, one family, and one generation at a time.

• Keep fresh, nutritious food out of the landfill and on the tables of local families
