THE HAMTRAMCK’S 3RD ANNUAL JUNETEENTH FAMILY, FRIENDS, COMMUNITY, CELEBRATION AND MARCH & A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO DADS ALL OVER THE WORLD
WE’RE BACK IN STRIVE AGAIN!
Again, many thanks to all our Supporters, without you it would have not been as SUCCESSFUL, for the last two years in a roll.
Thanks!
We are Gearing Up for Hamtramck’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration with a TWIST! This year we will be having a Special Tribute to Dad
Once again Juneteenth is coming to Hamtramck! We will gather at Veterans Park and take a bus over to Sarah Garrett Park where we will come together with the people at Sarah Garrett Park and begin the March on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The March will end at Veterans Memorial Park, then everyone is invited to a Family, Friends and Community Day Celebration at Veterans Park.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Deriving its name from combining “June” and nineteenth”, it is celebrated on the anniversary of General Order No. 3 issued by Major General Gordon Granger on June 19, 1865, proclaiming freedom for slaves in Texas. Originating in Galveston, Juneteenth has since been observed annually in various parts of the United States, often broadly celebrating African American culture. The day was first recognized as a federal holiday in 2021, when President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE CELEBRATION IS DRIVEN BY DONATIONS!!!

We are not begging, but we are PLEADING for your Support to ensure that a Great Time would be had by all.
