Haiti Earthquake Emergency
Haiti suffered from a 7.2 magnitude earthquake Saturday, August 14, leaving serious destruction, hundreds dead, and thousand injured and homeless. It is hard for us to imagine the suffering and trauma that this country and its people have had to face, and it seems like the devasting earthquake of 2010 was just yesterday.
AVSI has a large base in the South, and our colleagues are already on the streets, responding with first aid, finding shelter solutions, and assessing the damage to their community.
In front of the dramatic situation in Haiti which has hit AVSI close to home, we worldwide has set an initial goal of $50,000 to provide first aid, shelter, food, and water to the affected population.
If you feel moved to help us provide some immediate relief and a glimmer of hope, you can make a donation today knowing that it will go directly to address immediate needs.
