Goal

I was walking on the beach one morning and saw a young man picking up starfish from the sand and flinging them back into the sea.

I asked why he did it.

“If I don’t, they will die in the midday sun,” he said.
“But there are thousands of starfish,” I replied.
“What difference does it make to save a few?”

He looked down at the starfish in his hand and flung it to safety in the waves.

“It makes a big difference to this one!” he said.

There are millions of children in Pakistan (where Mags grew up), who don’t get the chance of an education.  We can’t help all of them, but we want to help some of them.  That is why we are raising money for Starfish Asia as part of The Great Starfish Trail. Together we can make a difference.

Lengths for Learning

Last year folk were kind enough to sponsor us on a stroll in the Kent countryside.  This year we felt we should take on something more challenging – swimming 20km between us in our local pool during the course of September.   This will not be fun.  Neither of us has swum for years, and Mags in particular greatly dislikes swimming. However, it will be worth it to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and to give them the hope of a better future. Thank you for your support.
