Goal

From the Pakistan High Commission to Home in Beckenham

We have no problem with promoting another fund-raising appeal for Pakistan’s Christians.

We therefore want to support the Great Starfish Trail in its endeavour to raise funds for 10 struggling Christian schools in Pakistan. This is what we intend to do:

On Saturday 9th September (weather permitting – we might change it to 16th if it is pouring with rain on 9th) we will go by train and tube to the PAKISTAN HIGH COMMISSION in London
Lowndes Square SW1X 9JN. We will then walk/jog/crawl all the way to our Home (and a bath) in BECKENHAM.

Distance on Google maps:  15 kilometres via A214.

Time (walking) 3 hrs 10 min.

We will be joined by our daughter EVA and her husband KEVIN. Kerstin will try to do it but is not sure she can make 15 Km, even with stops for rest, tea and cool drinks, etc.
We are, after all, no longer in our 70’s.   We cling to the option to jump on a bus or train if we are wiped out.

Our target? 15 km @ £40 per km = £600 (with Kerstin, Kevin and Eva maybe £1200) Are we dreaming? For Pakistan’s kids we do a lot of dreaming…
