Like most public charter schools in New Hampshire, Granite State Arts Academy receives roughly 50% of the state funding provided to regular public schools. Despite this shortfall, we deliver an unparalleled educational experience to our students by retaining the best teachers, creatively operating our facilities, and managing our budget. Because charter schools in New Hampshire are funded at a lower level than traditional public schools, we must make up the difference in funding ourselves.
This means that GSAA depends on in-kind donations, annual family contributions, company gift matching, grants, fundraising events, and volunteers to survive. Your generous contributions help keep our doors open and allow us to continue to offer a strong educational alternative to New Hampshire families.
At Granite State Arts Academy our integrated arts-based curriculum provides students with an uncommon learning opportunity. We offer students concentrated studio time in dance, music, theater, and visual arts. This allows for personalized learning, creating conditions where students’ talents can flourish. This positive approach to educating empowers students to dream and create every day. Students explore real-world problems, simultaneously developing cross-curriculum skills while working in small collaborative groups. Our academic courses nurture creative thinkers, active citizens, and independent learners with a curriculum that integrates the arts and academics which instills a sincere lifelong desire to learn.
