Association Les Grandes Orgues de Saint-Eustache
Support the Grandes Orgue of Saint-Eustache! One of the largest organs in France, the Grand Organ of Saint-Eustache has long been central to the musical identity of Paris. With a long and captivating history stretching back to 1559, marked by fires, revolutions, and repeated reconstructions, the instrument standing today is a magnificent 101-stop mechanical organ built by Dutch firm Van den Heuvel, with 8,000 pipes!
Over time, intensive playing and structural flaws have led to a premature decline in the sound quality and longevity of this great instrument. In order to restore the organ to its best possible condition and ensure it can continue to play for generations of listeners to come, swift improvements and repairs are neccessary.
To help fund this restoration, the Association Les Grandes Orgues de Saint-Eustache has launched a pipe sponsorship campaign. U.S. donors can make a tax-deductible gift to sponsor one of the organ's 8,000 pipes, from the Piccolo to the towering Contrebombarde, and will receive a certificate from the association about the pipe they've supported.
A note for larger gifts: To ensure your generosity goes as far as possible, we kindly ask that all gifts over $5,000 be made by wire transfer or check to avoid platform and credit card processing fees.
Wire instructions are available here: USD Wire Instructions.
All checks must be made out to Friends of Fondation de France with Association Les Grandes Orgues de Saint-Eustache in the memo section.
