Please help us tackle period poverty in Kenya on World Menstrual Day 2023

Goal
Once again, on Global Menstrual Day, we're thinking of the many girls and women across the world who live in poverty can't afford tampons or pads.
We went into schools, to talk to girls and educate them, so they would not have to be educated on what was happening. This would avoid them having to use cloth or newspaper around their knickers, or worse sit on cardboard / sand to absorb their period.
They make bags we call 'Rudia Sodo' & we give them, for free, to girls & women who need them and are in full-time employment making these bags, thanks to your donations.
These bags are full of everything a young girl needs to manage their period, educate them on their cycle (so they understand when they are more likely to get pregnant) and hygiene products (including knickers, which they might not even own).
We've been working with local schools and identifying those most in need of access to these packs. We've estimated that there are around 750 girls in the area around the orphanage that could benefit from these packs. So on Global Menstrual Day 2023 we're reaching out to our friends to see if we can raise the money to be able to provide these.
Each bags costs just £10 and lasts 2-3 YEARS!
Your donation will:
- Keep the girls employed in the sewing room to make them
- Keep staff trained to go out to schools and communities in Kenya, giving basic hygiene & sex education
- Give FREE kits to girls & women in need to keep them in school!
One final thing, whether you donate or not — please help us by sharing this with your friends and family today.
Thank you!
