Goal

Did you know that education is not free in Uganda? Education is considered a privilege, not a right, as pricey school fees and the cost of uniforms and books make education inaccessible to the majority of the population.
Kkumi Project boys are living proof that education opens doors out of poverty, disease, and chaos. Many of the Kkumi Boys come from families who often live on less than $1 a day. Education for these boys is vital for them to grow into empowered and responsible men, to lead thriving and successful lives, and to be catalysts of transformation in their communities.
Today on #GIVINGTUESDAY our goal is to raise $8,000 to cover the education costs for the ten Kkumi Boys for 2019.
The $8,000 covers the cost of everything required to attend high school in Uganda: school fees, exam fees, scholastic materials, books, and uniforms. This also covers the cost of higher education for 2 of the Kkumi boys who have completed high school and are working to further their education.
