Goal

Build a Better Family, A Holistic Approach to Parenting

When you're a parent, each day brings its own challenges. This is more so true for young

parents. Some days are harder than others and the struggle for support can be daunting. The

Alex House Project wants to make those hard days much easier for young parents in Brooklyn

and beyond.

TAHP’s mission is to help young mothers and fathers be independent and self-sufficient for the

betterment of their children by providing parenting classes along with leadership development

in a safe and nurturing environment. our parenting courses, including “Healthy Mommy,

Healthy Baby,” a two-week monthly, peer-led intensive parenting course, and “Train the

Trainer,” a twenty-four-month leadership and workforce development course that produces a

cohort of peer leaders who serve as role models in the community. “Our parents become our

leaders”

With our Giving Tuesday Campaign, your donations will support stipends for our parent

educators as they make their way through our programs and seek employment upon

completion as well as the costs of virtual and in-person activities designed to promote their

children's social and emotional health. TAHP needs you to help make better families by helping

young children and their parents on the road to stability and well-being.
