Cornerstone Retreat Center - Giving Tuesday 2023

Welcome to our Giving Tuesday Fundraising Page!

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Cornerstone Retreat Center (CRC), and for considering a donation. Your financial support is greatly appreciated.

CRC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to serving 1st responders and their families. We provide ongoing Wellness Services (resiliency training and education, peer support training, workshops, peer support, critical incident stress debriefings, and chaplain services). In the last three years, we have served approx. 1,394 first responders through these services (approx. 133 people through peer supports, 127 people through 31 critical incident stress debriefs, and 1,051 people through trainings/education courses). We've also presented to over 3,707people about 1st Responder Mental Health, Resiliency, and/or our CRC mission.

The Retreat Center, which is in development, exists to provide a safe place for the 1st responder community to connect with one another, to learn from each other, and to recover from the unique stresses inherent of the job--all in a safe, confidential, and naturally peaceful environment. This is where we need your ongoing financial support.

We have come a long way in three years - in addition to securing the 40 acre property, we have purchased much needed equipment, we have eliminated old, unusable building and structures, and we have cleaned up, upgraded, and started to rebuild. In 2022, we added a fishing deck, began mulching our walking trails, and bought new swings for the kiddo's. In 2023, we built our pump/bath house structure (which will bring running water to the property Spring 2024), we've upgraded the electrical infrastructure (in preparation for RV pedestal upgrades), and we've stocked the fishing pond. On property, we have hosted family picnics, a wedding reception, and 1st responder gatherings. Our 1st Responder Park, offering day recreation, is now open (seasonally).

Our goals for 2024 include expanding the park offerings to include a fitness trail with body-weight challenges at each of the former 9-hole golf stations, upgrading the RV pedestals, and repairing the fishing pond. In addition, we will initiate a new Member Portal, which will allow for expanded & secure access. Further, the completion of the pump/bath house and electrical upgrades will allow us to host regular events on property.

With your financial support, we can complete these projects in full, continue to do property upgrades and maintenance, add a meeting and event barn, and eventually construct a handful of RV Park Model Cabins.
