Giving Tuesday 2024

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in making an impact by supporting NAMI Fox Valley’s school outreach program. Your contribution will help us break down the stigma surrounding mental illness, empower young people to seek help, and foster understanding and compassion in schools.

Why It Matters:

We know that 1 in 6 youth live with mental illness, yet many students experiencing mental health challenges feel isolated and misunderstood. Our school outreach program engages students as early as 3rd grade, sharing knowledge and personal stories that increase mental health literacy, cultivate a culture of support, and encourage students to seek help when needed.

Imagine a 4th grader struggling with anxiety or depression but too afraid to ask for help. With your support, we can equip that child—and many others—with the tools and understanding they need to know they are not alone. 

Your Impact:

Last year, our school outreach team presented mental health training in 320 classrooms to 6,990 students. We are on track to reach similar numbers this year and in the year ahead. 

Every donation to our Giving Tuesday campaign, no matter the size, contributes to:

• Educational Presentations: We deliver age-appropriate presentations that teach mental health awareness, coping strategies, and the importance of seeking help.
• Resource Materials: Your support enables us to develop and distribute informative materials to schools, enhancing students’ understanding of mental health.
• Community Engagement: We facilitate open dialogues in schools, encouraging students to share their experiences and learn from one another.
