The Oxford community sends more than 115 tons of textiles to the landfills annually, and Thread Up Oxford is working to change that. We exist to promote responsible reuse, recycling and upcycling of textile waste.
The area's only "zero waste" textile recycling organization is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit and we need your help! You can make a difference by making a financial contribution to our 2023 operating expenses.
Thread Up Oxford opened a thrift store / retail space, providing a stigma-free shopping experience for clients of social service agencies as well as a thrifting experience gaining in popularity. The space is full of gently used clothing, fabric, yarn, bedding, towels, etc.
We are counting on the community to be as generous with your monetary donations as you are with your textile donations. Every little bit will help us with rent, utilities, and fuel for the van used to pick up donated textiles.
