Giving Joy and Hope to Sick Children

Three-year-old Silas has Epidermolysis Bullosa (butterfly child) and Autism. We received daily updates from his Mom who was amazed and overjoyed at the changes in her child throughout his wish trip to Disney. He was connecting with them and responding to them as he never had before. She couldn't wait to call our Director one morning to tell her that her son had snuggled up next to her and fallen asleep for the first time EVER. On the drive home from the airport, both parents said that this trip was life changing for all three of them. They loved seeing their son genuinely happy, and even if only temporarily, distracted from his incredibly painful condition. It gave this precious child the gift of joy and being able to fully connect with his parents.

We hear this regularly. What we do is so important for so many people. For more than 30 years we have given Tri-State children hope, joy, motivation to continue treatments, a brief sense of normalcy, and memories that will stay with the family forever.
