Goal

When Delilah was just a cub, her future hung in the balance.

At only eight months old, she was found in a trap-cage on a Namibian farm. Still young, still learning, and far too inexperienced to survive alone, Delilah's life could have taken a very different path.

Instead, she was brought to the Cheetah Conservation Fund.

For the last two years, Delilah has been given the chance that so many cheetahs never receive. She has grown from a frightened young cub into a strong, healthy adult. Today, she is showing all the signs of a wild cheetah ready to return to where she belongs. The wild.

But before that can happen, there is one final hurdle to overcome.

Because releasing a cheetah isn't as simple as opening a gate and hoping for the best.

To give Delilah the greatest possible chance of survival, our team must carefully prepare her for life beyond our care. She needs a specialist GPS satellite collar so we can track her movements, monitor her health, and ensure she settles safely into her new environment. She will need veterinary assessments, transport to her release site, temporary holding facilities, food, field equipment, and ongoing monitoring during those critical first months of freedom.

Every step is essential. Every step costs money.

Today, we need to raise £3,000 to cover the final costs of returning Delilah to the wild.

Your support will help fund:

  • A GPS satellite tracking collar and monitoring equipment
  • Veterinary examinations and release preparations
  • Transport, fuel and specialist release equipment
  • Temporary holding and feeding before release
  • Satellite data and ongoing monitoring
  • Staff time to safely transport, release and track Delilah after she returns to the wild

This careful approach works. Over many years, CCF has successfully released rehabilitated suitable cheetahs back into appropriate habitats, giving them a second chance to live as wild cheetahs once more.

For Delilah, that moment is now within reach.

Soon, she could feel the open landscape beneath her paws. She could choose her own path, hunt for herself, and once again become part of the wild ecosystem she was born to inhabit.

But she cannot get there alone.

After everything Delilah has been through, will you help give her the future she deserves?

Your gift today will help cover the final £3,000 needed to safely collar, transport, release and monitor Delilah as she begins her journey back to freedom.

Donate today and help send Delilah home. Because every cheetah deserves the chance to be wild.
