2018

Girls Lacrosse of Poway is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation.

Our goal is to develop and promote the sport of lacrosse and coordinate open competition in the sport to girls age 18 years and younger.  Girls lacrosse is a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) recognized sport at the high school level, yet teams receive very limited financial support from the school or district.  As a result, players must rely on parent and/or community support and/or grants from Girls Lacrosse of Poway to meet the needs of their team.

Individual players are asked each season to participate in fundraising activities to cover most of the expenses of their team.  Despite their valiant efforts, fundraising does not cover all of the program’s expenses, such as coaches’ salaries, referee fees, uniforms, balls, goals, nets, and many other costs needed to run a successful program.

Girls Lacrosse of Poway is asking families and community members to participate in helping fund the girls lacrosse program at Poway High.  Please consider pledging to benefit the high school program.

Thank you for your generous support.
