When Luz Corral arrived in Pilsen from Mexico City 20 years ago, she was a recent high school graduate with endless potential, but limited access to the systems and opportunities that would help her succeed. She was capable, determined, and ready—but she was navigating a new country without a roadmap.
Everything changed when Luz found Gads Hill Center. Here, she stepped into a community of advocates, educators, providers, and neighbors. She found support—not only as a program participant, but as a hardworking neighbor, and valuable member of the Chicago community.
