It's our anniversary! For 20 years, Black Lunch Table has been centering Black artists, hosting roundtables + artist talks, and preserving our stories through radical archiving. Together, we remain committed to amplifying the voices of Black visual artists and our communities during a time when they are critically needed.

Our vision for our organization is inextricably linked to our vision for a world that values the contributions of Black artists, art workers, and communities in the creation of contemporary cultural history. BLT’s work centers self-authorship in the writing of historical narratives, empowering individual community members to participate in a collective endeavor to close knowledge gaps and expand open access to information.

Our origin as a social practice art project continues to influence and guide our work as an organization that is both built from and for the communities in which we work. Thank you for sharing your generosity with us so we can remain in practice with our communities for the next 20 years and beyond. The work would not be the same without you!
