My friends - who loved Kilo dearly - helped me raise funds to help dogs in need. An aggressive type of cancer took him, the love of my life, from my arms. But the lessons and the memories will live on in my soul, forever. He was a very sweet and generous pooch who always shared his toys, his food, his joy. And he would have been honored if he could help others out, even if a little bit. Thank you for what you do. And F cancer.

In Loving Memory of Smiley Smiley was adopted from Little Paws Dachshund Rescue ten years ago. He came from Georgia, where he had been abandoned on a highway beneath a mile marker. Originally named Miles, his name was soon changed to Smiley—a perfect fit for the permanent grin created by his sweet underbite. Despite a heartbreaking past that included abuse and being shot at, with metal BBs still lodged in his body, Smiley never lost his joy. He was the happiest dog, loving everyone he met and bringing smiles to others simply through his gentle, sweet personality. He was affectionate, cuddly, and always eager for attention and love—sometimes even more than food. Smiley adored car rides and treasured time spent with us on the patio, happily chasing squirrels and rabbits. He loved dressing up and even won first prize in a Halloween contest dressed as Dracula. He was gentle and kind with our cat, Stewart, and had many friends at Wags Day Care in Wenham MA. He greeted us with pure happiness every time we came home and shared a special bond with his doxi friends Lenny and Gracie. Smiley was a joyful presence in our lives every single day. Though he sadly passed from congestive heart failure, Smiley truly lived fully and loved deeply. He will be missed forever and remembered always for the happiness he brought into our hearts
