Free To Fly provides urgent travel assistance for victims of crime and human trafficking referred through our trusted federal partners. Our assistance may include airfare, safe lodging, ground transportation when needed, baggage, per diem support for meals and necessary daily expenses, thoughtfully prepared care boxes, and other essential costs connected to reaching safety or participating in the justice process.

But sometimes, a flight is only the beginning.

Participating in an active case, preparing to give a victim impact statement, returning to court, or needing to leave an unsafe situation can be extraordinarily difficult. The need to travel quickly for safety can itself feel frightening and overwhelming. When appropriate and coordinated with our partners, Free To Fly can also provide compassionate on-site support. This helps the individual understand what to expect, accompanying them through the experience, sharing a meal, and creating space to decompress afterward.

A personalized care box can also provide comfort during an overwhelming time. These boxes are thoughtfully prepared with quality personal-care items, comfort items, and other essentials selected to remind each recipient that they are seen, valued, and worthy of care.
