General Conference Post Mortem
Radio Free Mormon’s General Conference Post Mortem Reports take a close, thoughtful look at each session of LDS General Conference after the final “amen.”
Every six months, RFM reviews the talks, themes, policy signals, historical context, notable statements, and the things that may deserve a second look. The goal is not to tell anyone what to believe, but to provide careful, independent analysis that helps listeners better understand what was said, what may have changed, and why it matters.
These reports are for everyone willing to engage the material seriously—believing Latter-day Saints, nuanced members, people who are questioning, former members, and anyone interested in Mormonism and LDS culture.
Your donation helps cover the time, research, technology, and production required to create these in-depth reports. Supporting this campaign helps ensure that each General Conference can be examined with context, curiosity, and a willingness to shine a light on the details that might otherwise be missed.
If you value independent analysis and thoughtful conversation around General Conference, please consider supporting the next Post Mortem Report.

Thanks for watching all of the long winded and incredibly boring sessions of conference so that we can get the important info without having to watch. I would have to pound six Red Bull just to stay awake and that’s six per session

Thanks RFM! As a six-year post Mormon, I'm still curious to see what snake oil the grifters in Salt Lake are pitching, but definitely don't want to endure the agony of 8 hours of patriarchal hypocrisy and sanctimony to find out. You suffer on my behalf. (I guess that makes Conference your Gethsemane, and you my Messiah? Or are you just performing work on my behalf by proxy? Still trying to sort out the metaphor.) Favorite moment: Church continues its evangelical megachurch playbook: "Send the church money, and you'll get miracles!" In God's Kingdom, it's pay to play. That's more or less congruent with Jesus's teachings in the New Testament, isn't it?
