Geekdom House
"To love and serve the nerd and geek community."
In 2012, Geekdom House began as a small group that added that simple statement, "to love and to serve," as their mandate. Since then the mission has evolved so much to something that is on the forefront of nerd and geek missions across Canada and the US.
Now Geekdom House loves and serves through a few primary initiatives.
Limit Break
Mentorship for youth and adults who love video and board games. Limit Break is a community for people who feel otherwise isolated and are looking for a place not only to grow but to directly and intentionally help others grow in their physical, emotional, and spiritual lives.
Incantatem & Wandering Minstrels
Choirs that sing the songs of our people (themes from movies, TV shows, video games, and anime) as a method of forming community around the cultural music we (as geeks) are all drawn to.
Geekdom House Live!
A monthly coffeehouse event in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Geekdom House Live! invites people to watch an episode of a beloved TV show, enjoy coffee and snacks, and participate in a faith-filled conversation around the show.
Your support of The Hearth and Geekdom House benefit these initiatives.
