GameTime Charity

GameTime Charity is dedicated to levelling the playing field for children across New Zealand. We believe that access to quality sports and physical education should be for all kids in NZ, not just those who can afford it.

Through our unique, inclusive sports programs, we help children develop the fundamental physical skills and social confidence they need to thrive. We’ve seen firsthand that when you give a child a ball and a supportive environment, you aren't just teaching a sport, you’re building resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong love for staying active.

Our Impact So Far

Since we started last year, the response has been incredible. Because of supporters like you:

We have raised close to $10,000 to fund classes across Wellington

We’ve expanded and now run successful programs in both preschools and primary schools.

We’ve seen real change: Teachers and parents report that children are showing massive gains in coordination, confidence, and teamwork.

Coach Mattie has been coming to Montessori Johnsonville and supporting us with our children's developing ball skills and physical fitness. I wanted to let you know that your formula is well and truly working!! It’s awesome to see how you use creative and kid-friendly concepts to get them trying and mastering skills that are useful, and also skills that are just for a laugh! My child is a pretty physical kid already, but she talks about the concepts you have taught using animals and fun language to extend her understanding and ability in different things that we haven’t tried yet at home.

My daughter has done GameTime with Mattie for about a year and she has loved every minute. She is full of smiles and laughter every class and she regularly plays “GameTime” at home, pretending to be Mattie and reenacting the joy she’s experienced.
