Galatians Community Health exists for the people too often left behind, and for those too often afraid to be seen.

From working parents managing illness without paid leave, to uninsured neighbors delaying care, to high-level professionals silently battling anxiety, this is where they turn. No insurance? No judgment. No shame about the past or the pain. Just high-quality, whole-person care that offers every patient the same thing: dignity.

Galatians was created as a strategic response to healthcare inequity in Wake County. Based in Northeast Raleigh, Galatians provides Primary Care, Women’s Health, and Pediatric Services to over 5,000 patients each year, and growing.

The gaps in the system are real. Over 2.7 million North Carolinians live in areas with limited access to primary care. It's even harder for Medicaid recipients—only 25% of primary care providers in North Carolina accept new Medicaid patients (NC Health News). And when it comes to maternal health, black women in our state are 3.2 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes compared to white women (CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports).

That’s why donor support is essential to invest in the next chapter of Galatians Community Health's mission, where access to care is a promise.

This plan eases pressure on overrun ERs by expanding key services and bringing care closer to where individuals and families live and work. By growing the provider team and improving technology, wait times decrease and patients receive timely care. Local control over funding allows communities to tailor solutions to their unique needs, supporting working households and strengthening the local economy, without one-size-fits-all mandates. Accessible, quality care gives people the real chance to level up and thrive without sacrificing time or stability.

At the end of the day, behind every number is a real person still fighting to be seen and heard.
