FuRRR Feline Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill, cage-free, 100% volunteer-driven organization in New Hampshire. Our mission is to save the lives of kittens and cats in need. We specialize in the elderly, special needs and at risk of euthanasia kittens and cats from high-kill southern shelters. We often take cats that need extensive medical care. An average of 450-600 cats per year have come through our doors since our opening.
FuRRR believes in fighting for the voiceless cats that are abandoned, abused, neglected and forgotten. Special cases that require extensive or emergency medical treatment are made possible with Betsey's Emergency Fund. Betsey was a founding kitty that would be euthanized at a New Hampshire shelter. She was partially blind and had neurological issues. She later developed stomatitis, a painful mouth issue that required a full mouth extraction. Betsey was with FuRRR since its founding until her passing in November 2021; she was in foster/hospice care and very loved by her foster family.
