Furcationland 2025 - Short Folks For Hope

Short Folks For Hope Foundation is grateful to Furcationland for being chosen as its benefiting charity for 2025, and we are so thankful for your support since 2023!  The Mission of Short Folks For Hope Foundation is to empower, encourage and celebrate cancer warriors of all ages and their families with our special projects, and to inspire youth to be courageous, compassionate members of our communities. 

Short Folks For Hope Foundation was founded in 2012 by cancer survivor and singer/songwriter Kristen Short, who celebrates 15 years of survivorship this year and is currently in remission.  We are a 501(c)(3) cancer support charity and are 100% volunteer directed and operated with no salaried staff.  Your donations go right to making a difference in a cancer warrior's life. 

With our Hope Bear Project and Wishes For Hope Project, we give encouragement packs, bereavement gifts, travel/gas/grocery grants for cancer warrior families, and we fulfill small wishes for advanced stage cancer warriors. We help encourage them all to stay strong and never give up hope!

Our Short Folks For Hope Furry Ambassador Lagoona the Dutch Angel Dragon started the Furries For Hope Project in 2017, and she and Mama Bear Kalliope do special work year-round bringing joy to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. They hope to see you at the Furcationland 2025 event to thank you for your support that makes our charity's work possible!
