FUNDRAISING FOR REFUGEES AND IDPS

This fundraising campaign is organized by The Association for Training and Rural Development  (ATRUD), an NGO catering for disadvantaged  and underprivileged persons living in rural areas by providing them basic tools and skills for a sustainable and better life.

ATRUD currently, has been raising funds for Internally Displaced Persons fleeing the armed conflict in The Cameroons. Watch videos of our work on the field at our ATRUD YouTube Channel . 

We are now in a new phase of fundraising. Our goal is to buy three kinds of items:
1. First Aid items: Many of the victims are in need of basic items like bandages, painkillers, etc. 
2. Food Items: We buy food items in the nearest town and transport to the settlement camps in the forest. Items include bags of rice, cooking oil, etc.
3. Necessities: Sanitary pads, clothes, shoes, baby napkins, etc.

In our first fundraising drive we were able to impact a population of about 8,500 victims out of over 60,000 starving in the forests of eastern Nigeria. 
We hope that with 3000US Dollars we can be able to reach another 8,000 or more before Christmas.
