Fundraise for TMA

William J. Raum, M.D., Ph.D. (Bill) was loved and respected by his family and community. He was diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM) in 2017. IBM is a rare degenerative muscle disease that causes increasing muscle weakness over time. Bill passed away in June 2025 of other causes, but he spent the final years of his life fighting to maintain his strength as his IBM disease progressed. As a physician and researcher himself, Bill and his doctor worked together to determine the best treatments and therapies. We are certain that this collaboration and Bill's determination to push hard to sustain exercise programs and other treatment plans helped him to slow the progression of the disease. However, there is no cure, and he always wished there were more research to help fight this rare disease. We set up this fundraiser to help fulfill his wishes in the hope we may raise awareness and support research to help others with IBM. In Bill's memory, we respectfully request a donation to this cause. Thank you.
