Goal
I will be running the Chicago Marathon on 10/12/25. This marathon I will run in honor of a dear co-worker and friend, Brian Hoban. I started working with Brian in 2016. He warmly welcomed me into my new role and became a mentor, friend and role model. We also shared a love for running, particularly marathons. Brian has run 13 marathons with his wife Robyn. These include Chicago (6 times!), New York, Miami, New Orleans, The Flying Pig, Berlin, Marine Corp, and London Marathons. During four of these marathons he fundraised for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and were all run in one year for his 40th birthday. Impressive is an understatement! Outside of running, Brian had dedicated his career to helping the community regain mobility and quality of life as a clinical physical therapist at Loyola University Medical Center and also in educating student physical therapists at Midwestern University and Loyola University Chicago. Over the past couple years, Brian has had to step away from participating in marathons due to symptoms associated with a diagnosis of Inclusion Body Myositis. Link below if you would like to learn more about this condition:

During my marathon training, I will be fundraising for the Myositis Association as a way of honoring Brian and all his accomplishments as a runner, his compassionate personality, and to help carry on his philanthropic efforts as a runner.
Please join with me to show support for Brian through donation to the Myositis Association. Thank you!
