Goal

Going the distance for Myositis:

2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada

In 2024, my cousin Brandon was diagnosed with dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the skin and muscles. What began as rashes and unexplained symptoms quickly became a life-threatening battle. By the end of the year, he spent nearly three months in the hospital fighting to regain his life back. I watched him relearn how to swallow, walk, and adapt to a life forever changed by a disease that affects only about 1 in 100,000 people each year.

With Brandon's support and in honor of Myositis Awareness Month, I am raising funds for The Myositis Association by hiking the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. My goal is to raise $2,650, one dollar for every mile of the journey.

Every donation will support vital efforts The Myositis Association and bring hope to families like ours. Thank you!
