Goal

The corona virus pandemic has been difficult for all, but especially devastating for those disabled adults who live on their own and have no local agency support to help them navigate storms like this.  Joshua*, a cognitively impaired epileptic young man was sad and scared.  He hadn't taken his medication in several days, his fridge was nearly empty and his one unreliable caregiver refused to come to his apartment.  Unable to find agency support or dependable caregivers he only has his parents to rely on.  Unfortunately both his elderly parents were stricken with a severe case of Covid 19 and were deathly ill.  Thankfully Joshua's parents recovered but the outcome could have been a horrible tragedy.  Integrative Neighborhoods of Oakland County was established for just this reason. To provide a safe, stable, supported community for those special needs individuals that need it, most especially in trying times like these.  But we need your help to make this vision a reality.  Please help us to provide the needed support for this vulnerable population.
