There’s a new kind of undies on the block...
By donating just two pairs of bonds girls undies you will be ensuring that a teenage girl in Sumatra doesn’t have to miss one day of her education. Here’s Why... Imagine if not having feminine hygiene supplies kept you isolated during menstruation? No study, no income and no access to hygiene for days. It happens worldwide to women in many impoverished communities. Girls can miss up to eight months of schooling in three years.
Girls use leaves, mattress stuffing, newspaper, corn husks, rocks and other things to try and stay in school and these often lead to infections. We at Komorebi have decided to assist Days for Girls Programme by obtaining underwear to go into the packs. Sue, our very own Days For Girls Ambassador, will take the womens health packs to Sumatra this year. We are aiming to distribute at least 100 packs to girls living in remote areas in North Sumatra over the next 12 months.
