Goal
COVID Safe Campus' mission is to grow and resource a movement to increase protection against COVID, advocate for disability access, and combat ableism in higher education and beyond.
We work to shift narratives surrounding COVID and conduct public health research centering disability justice and our collective responsibility to care for our communities.
Supporting students and organizing since January 2022.
Your contribution will help us further our work in advocacy, mutual aid, research, health education, training students, and peer support.
We need your help to continue our work and expand our capacity for action in 2025. We need to raise $50,000 by the end of this calendar year to secure funding for Spring 2025. Our Giving Tuesday campaign goal is to raise $25,000 by December 15.
CSC is here to stay and together we can make a tangible difference for students, our campuses, and our local communities no matter what challenges we're up against.
We are in need of funding to continue our mask distribution, pay for essential accessibility services, sustain our core operations, to pay for ambassador program expenses, event expenses, research related expenses, pay for the labor and expertise of staff and contractors, better support students, and secure a future for our organization.
What have we done so far?
We have distributed over 30,000 high filtration masks and supported students' community health and mutual aid work on 50 campuses across over 25 states and provinces to date.
We create resources and conduct research for direct use in advocacy, and we take action in real time. We work to build community, capacity, and coalitions around COVID safety in higher education and our communities at large.
Our work has been featured in Inside Higher Ed, Chronicle of Higher Education, the Baltimore Sun, and Becker's Hospital Review.
Who are we?
COVID Safe Campus is a nationwide group of disabled academics and advocates with public health and policy expertise, challenging ableism and fighting for COVID safety in higher education and beyond.
We are a grassroots organization fiscally sponsored by the Autistic Women and Nonbinary Network, a 501c3 nonprofit.
How will we spend the funds?
All donations will go towards the campaign you donated to, in support of our advocacy, mutual aid, research, health education, trainings, and peer support work. If we exceed our goal, we will make sure funds go where they are most needed.
Every dollar counts and no donation is too small, our work is made possible by donors like you.
