Goal

Fund a Thermal Drone to Save Songbirds

Every year, hundreds of thousands of migratory songbirds are trapped and killed illegally in Cyprus, caught in mist nets, stuck on limesticks, and slaughtered for the banned dish ambelopoulia.

The Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) are the only team out there every night confronting this cruelty, freeing trapped birds, dismantling nets, and exposing wildlife crime. They work under threat, face violent poachers, and receive little support from authorities.

To keep saving lives, they urgently need a Mavic 3 Enterprise T Thermal Drone, a specialist drone that can detect trapping sites and poachers under cover of darkness. With it, CABS can find traps before sunrise, gather vital evidence, and rescue more birds.

Protect the Wild is raising £4,839 to buy and deliver this drone for next year’s CABS operations.

Every pound you give will help them save more birds and bring more poachers to justice.

👉 Donate now to help CABS see in the dark and stop the slaughter.

Any donations above the target amount will go straight to CABS to fund their vital work.
