Help SAVE Two Schools for Syrian Refugee Children in Lebanon
We need $195,000 to save 2 co-ed primary schools in Saadnayel and Majdal Anjar, Lebanon, otherwise 650 Syrian refugee kids will be out of school! We have been providing them with free schooling in a clean and safe environment right next door to the informal tented settlements where they live. For 8 years we have been saving a generation through education.
But now the total collapse of the nation’s economy and the disastrous effects of the global pandemic have created dire conditions for everyone in Lebanon—particularly for the refugees. And as international donor funding steadily declines after more than a decade of crisis, Syrian refugee children continue to suffer from extreme poverty, food insecurity, and lack of access to quality education.
We need to keep these schools open and running. They offer formal, accredited instruction of the national curriculum, as well as desperately needed psychosocial support programs, school supplies, winterization kits, and a guarantee of one healthy meal per day.
For these kids - school is a safe haven, a few precious hours of normal childhood, and a real opportunity for a better future.
Donate today to help us keep these schools open.
