Friends of Dona Cox Ostenso

Dona Cox Ostenso is a retired educator who devoted more than 35 years to serving students, families, and educators in Calvert County. She began by creating a classroom grounded in her mission: to motivate, to engage, to challenge, and to inspire.

Later, she became a strong advocate for educators in education policy and school funding, always working to be a voice for teachers and a role model for her students.

WHY I’M RUNNING

Our schools deserve leadership that understands the classroom and listens to families. As a teacher, I’ve seen the brilliance in our students - and how much more they can achieve when they are supported.
