Freedom To Drive Maryland

Freedom to Drive is a grassroots campaign to stop predatory tolling and fining in Maryland.

Our goals are to:

Reduce the late fine amount for video tolls in Maryland,
End the 50% surcharge for video tolls in Maryland,
Reduce the prevalence of late fines assessed onto Maryland drivers,
Educate drivers on how the EZ Pass system has been geared toward increasing the number of late fines assessed onto drivers,
Hold the MDTA accountable for their failure to communicate with drivers on how to stay compliant with EZ Pass,
Expose technological and billing failures within the Maryland EZ Pass system,
Expose and stop discriminatory actions taken by the MDTA toward certain Maryland drivers.
