Francisco’s journey began in a heartbreaking way; he was abandoned at a hospital in Cap Haitien as a baby. Due to malnutrition and a lack of proper care during his early months, he experienced muscle atrophy that affected his development. Fortunately, on October 20, 2019, he was welcomed into our orphanage, thanks to the compassion and dedication of missionaries who saw his potential and wanted to help.
Today, Francisco is on the path to recovery, and we are filled with hope and gratitude for the progress he has made. We pray fervently for this miracle baby boy, trusting that with all the love and care surrounding him, he will experience healing in no time. He has gained remarkable strength, a testament to the efforts of fellow missionaries, his occupational therapy sessions, and the supportive use of his ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs). One of the most heartwarming milestones is that Francisco is now able to walk without a walker or assistance. This achievement not only showcases his resilience but also highlights the incredible support he receives from our community.
The other children have embraced Francisco with open hearts, ensuring he is included in all activities. Whether he’s participating directly or watching from the sidelines, they make sure he feels like an integral part of the group. Their kindness and camaraderie are a beautiful reminder of the love that surrounds him as he continues on his journey toward healing and growth. We are excited to see what the future holds for Francisco, filled with hope and faith in God's plan for him!
