Fourth Friday Forest Walk
Join the Frederick Forestry Board for a guided tree walk along the red trail of Gambrill State Park. During this guided walk through the forest, a forestry Board member will explain differences in forest ecosystems, succession, tree ID, and answer your questions.
Please beware that there are some areas that are steep and of of rough terrain.
Who: Open to the public
What: A guided tour of Gambrill Forest
When: 10-11:30 AM on the Fourth Friday of each month (2023: 2/24; 3/24; 4/28; 5/26; 6/23; 7/28; 8/25; 9/22; and 10/27)
Where: Meet at the lower parking lot of Gambrill Heights
To register, please select the amount to donate then click the "Next" button. All donations to the Forestry Board help us sponsor Frederick County High School students’ participation in the annual Natural Resources Career Camp.
