Since 2019, Founding Mother’s Inc. has provided women returning home after incarceration with safe housing, mentorship, advocacy, and opportunities to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

As Executive Director, I have had the privilege of witnessing women reclaim their voices, discover their leadership, and create new possibilities for themselves and their families. Our work has always been about more than providing a place to sleep. It is about creating stability, building leadership, removing barriers, and helping women recognize their power to shape their own futures.

A New Chapter Begins in 2027

The time has come to make room for a new generation of leadership.

Beginning in January 2027, I am honored to welcome Samantha Rucker as the new Executive Director and to introduce the next chapter of our organization: Lil Mama’s Haven.

Samantha brings lived experience, a deep understanding of the challenges women face after incarceration, and a fresh vision for the future of this work. As someone who has experienced our program firsthand, she understands both the challenges and the possibilities that come with reentry and rebuilding.

I have the privilege of mentoring and preparing Samantha for this leadership role, and I am committed to supporting her as she carries this work forward.

This transition is not an ending. It is a continuation—and the beginning of something new.
