Founder's Day 2023!
No matter who you are, you are part of a community made up of strong, incredible, and inspiring womxn. You are the reason we do what we do.
Today, we are asking for your help in continuing our sxsterhood's successes. Your generous contribution will go towards the various national initiatives and scholarships that we offer to our sxsters. When you joined this sxsterhood, you became part of a community made up of womxn from all around the country. No matter where your journey has taken you, you remain connected, whether you are reading about the impact of Delta Kappa Delta activities from the comfort of your home or actively completing service activities with sxsters on campus. Today, we are asking for monetary support for funds for scholarships and programs that are critical to ensure the strength of our sxsterhood.
Here is an overview of the current program and scholarship initiatives that take place on a national scale:
Memorial Scholarship ($1000)
The intent of this award is to honor and commemorate the memories of our fallen sxsters of Delta Kappa Delta through academic and professional excellence.
National Convention Scholarship ($150)
The intent of this award is to honor the dedication and commitment of our senior collegiate members by providing them financial support to attend National Convention.
DediKateD Scholars Award ($100)
The intent of this award is to honor the dedication and commitment of our senior collegiate members by providing them financial support for their higher education entrance exams and study materials.
Tuition Support Scholarship ($250)
The intent of this award is to provide support to both collegiate and alumnae members of Delta Kappa Delta toward their tuition.
Professional Development Grant ($250)
Delta Kappa Delta is committed to the professional and career development of our members. This grant provides sxsters with an opportunity to further their growth and development.
Charter Support Scholarship ($250)
The intent of this award is to provide support to charters of Delta Kappa Delta for events (service events, signature events, CHILD Week, HOPE Week, etc.) being hosted on campus. The DKD Charter Support Scholarship will award 6 charters with a maximum of $250 per academic year. The award will be paid directly to the charter once an itemized receipt is submitted.
Travel Grant ($200)
The intent of this award is to provide financial support for members who would like to bridge the distance between our charter and support one another's events or attend leadership conferences (not National Convention or Regional Retreats).
Now more than ever, we need to be able to support our members on their educational journey. Understanding that college affordability directly affects our sxsters, Delta Kappa Delta provides scholarships to assist with this dilemma.
All donations will go directly towards the national initiatives and scholarships listed above to support sxsters.
Every donation, of any amount, helps! If you would like, you can set up recurring donations (weekly, quarterly, or an annual basis). All it takes is one click to select the "Monthly" option on our donation forms.
We are so grateful that you have taken the time to consider donating for our national initiatives and scholarships. With this gift, you are setting a beautiful example of “paying it forward.”
There is so much impact one donation can make on a person. This is a testimony from Juhi Hariawala, the fourth recipient of the Memorial Scholarship. Every donation, of any amount, helps!
“I am so grateful to DKD for awarding me the memorial scholarship for the past two years.
With this scholarship, I have been able to access more educational resources especially as I begin studying for my MCAT with my sights set on medical school. DKD has always shown an immense dedication toward my education and with their financial award, I am moving on to the next steps in my career!"
- Juhi Hariawala, Zeta Chapter
Thank you for your continuous love and support! Once again, a very Happy Founder’s Day to all! Cheers to 24 years, cheers to many more!
With Love,
National Council
