We did it!


We are officially a 501(c)3! We have received the determination letter from the IRS that our nonprofit, Hagar's Heart, has received tax-exempt status by way of our charitable mission.

 

What does this mean? An organization with a 501(c)3 status starts as a nonprofit corporation and then becomes a charity that is exempt from federal taxes. This status allows Hagar's Heart donors to write off their donations/contributions to the nonprofit.


2022 is Hagar's Heart Inaugural year as a Nonprofit organization. Because of this status, we have created the Hagar's Heart Founder's Circle.


This group of donors believes in a woman's need to be seen, valued, and loved. By donating $100 a month, countless women will receive the "I See You" box monthly, beginning the process of rediscovering their own worth. Since emergency domestic violence shelters house victims, on average, 60-90 days, Hagar's Heart will be partnering for many projects during the woman's stay.
