Goal

FORGING OUR FUTURE:
What does it mean for Vandalia?

Every generation has its moment of sowing and of reaping; of planting for the next generation and of harvesting that which was planted by the last. We see it across our community in refurbished buildings, upgraded sidewalks and streets, and in the updates to our shared parks and other public spaces.

There are moments in the generational page-flip that require a heavier lift; and our community has always responded. We've seen it in the good work being done within our community, we see it in our churches, and we see it in our schools.

In fact, where the future of Vandalia is concerned, we always seem to do what's right for the next generation. But while Forging Our Future is definitely about doing what's right for the next generation, it's also about providing for the families, the young people, the empty-nesters, and the seniors who've called Vandalia home for years, decades, or generations. And even more than that, it's also about finding our way forward together, by doing something together, as a community.

This project will reinvigorate a set of shared community resources, create greater health, fitness, and social opportunities for all ages, and provide much-needed, seriously postponed upgrades to facilities serving our hardworking young athletes. Not just for a healthier and more victorious future, but for a safer future.

If your planned donation will exceed $1000, please contact Jason Clay at Vandalia Community Schools at 618-283-4525 for additional donation methods.
