❤❤Please Support Our Forever Foster Home Program❣❤❤
Every once in a while Camp Cocker Rescue gets a call about a senior dog sitting in a shelter who is in dire need of help. Senior dogs are often overlooked by families due to their age, health condition, emotional or physical state. We strive to reach the animals in the worst conditions or those who have been involved in an accident. These dogs have the least likelihood of ever being adopted (or even rescued by other rescue groups) yet they are still very deserving of a home.
Because it is so difficult to find homes for our dogs of a certain age(or situation) they become part of our Forever Foster Program. What this program achieves is placement in a stable foster home where they can live out the rest of their days. These foster homes are not like any other homes: They are one-of-a-kind and extremely rare. They offer a loving home where these special dogs can live out their 3rd act. These homes are patient, kind, and willing to care for any (and often many) medical need that presents itself. In the mean time, Camp Cocker will cover the costs of their care and medical for the rest of their days. This is a wonderful program that allows these dogs to get placed into loving homes with families who are dedicated to caring for them and could possibly be the first time these dogs feel love and patience
The Camp Cocker Rescue Forever Foster program is always on the look out for generous one-time or monthly supporters. In most cases, animal lovers will rally to get a senior or medical needs dog out of a shelter and into the arms of a caring rescue, thinking that once the dog is "safe" and placed in a home it will be the end of all of the dog's troubles. Unfortunately, for most senior dogs, getting them out of the shelter and into a home is only the first step of many in getting the care they need. Senior dogs need a variety of expensive medical care, including regular vet visits (often with a specialists), various medication, surgeries, and other ongoing care like physical therapy or laser therapy.
Camp Cocker Rescue continually struggles to get the financial support these forever foster dogs need. We want these dogs to be happy and healthy for as long as possible, and that kind of love takes a lot of time, energy, and money to make it all possible.
Please donate what you can to help these often forgotten dogs. Even $5 can go a long way if enough people help. Maybe even consider being a monthly forever foster supporter?
Thank you so much for your continued support. We could not save as many dogs lives without our Camp Cocker Rescue village. We are truly grateful.
